Beginning in Auckland you will travel at a relaxed pace through the North Island, taking in the stunning coastline of the Coromandel Peninsula, the thermal wonderland of Rotorua, the superb wineries of Hawkes Bay, and the capital of Wellington. Day 1: Arrive in Auckland and enjoy three nights at the pretty Peace and Plenty in Devonport.
Day 2: A day to explore Auckland and the highlights of the city.
Day 3: A further day to explore, perhaps taking in some of the volcanic beaches to the south of the city. A bottle of local wine will await you at the end of the day.
Day 4: Pick up a rental vehicle and make your way east to the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. Stay at the incredible Poet's Corner, high above the amazing coastline.
Day 5: A day to explore the Coromandel. A complimentary dinner is included this evening.
Day 6: Drive south to Rotorua at the heart of the thermal plateau. Enjoy a real Maori welcome with the family at A Kahu House.
Day 7: A day to explore the thermal reserves and enjoy the Maori culture of the area. A complimentary dinner is included this evening.
Day 8: A further day to explore.
Day 9: Drive to Napier, at the heart of the Hawkes Bay region. Stay at the beautiful Breckenridge Lodge which looks right out over the vines.
Day 10: A day to explore the superb wineries, restaurants and cafes.
Day 11: A further day to explore, perhaps taking in the coastline and gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers.
Day 12: Drive south to Wellington, and enjoy two nights at Lambton Heights.
Day 13: A day to explore the vibrant capital. A complimentary bottle of wine will await you at the end of the day.
Day 14: End your journey in Wellington.
